WebsitePost reusable materials and calendar events on the website. Make sure that they are scrubbed of personal information. "pack1131@ststephensfairfax.org" can be used in place of other contact information.
AwardsOnly awards that are known and listed by the awards coordinator will be presented at the pack meeting. This will allow us to have a record of all awards, and to ensure time for proper ceremony for big steps.
Fall CamporeeThese are exciting and well planned events for the Webelos. Parent comforts should be considered. Note that camporees are often held in fields without picnic tables or fire rings. Fires might not be permitted without raised fireplaces, and October is sometimes cold. Make sure to bring chairs, and to discuss what is provided with the district camporee coordinator
Pinewood DerbyDouble elimination works well. As the pack gets larger, we may want to use 3 or 4 lanes. Cub-voted best-in-show works, but takes a lot of time. Try round-robin next year, that is, set up a table for each den, and have each den vote at a table together, move to the next table, etc. <TODO: add links/documents> |
